This is a quick update to let all our family and friends know we have finally arrived at our destination in Oregon. We have traveled over 1350 miles since we left Las Vegas. We ended up driving around the rock slide, it added quite a few more miles to our trip, but we felt it was the faster and easier way. They opened one side of the road only with very slow going on Highway 101. We drove Interstate 5 instead, it was much easier. I have a LOT of updates to catch up on, our stay in Willits, California, then Redding, California, and Canyonville, Oregon. I will be adding them later. We are very happy with our waterfront campsite, it is only feet from the water. It is also tidal when the water goes out the whole area is loaded with seabirds. I am in birding paradise, plus, there are lighthouses all over the area. I am adding a picture of the Heceta Head Lighthouse I snagged while driving by. :-) We are so excited to be back on the Oregon Coast and can’t wait to start exploring the area. Check back later for more from Coastal Oregon.
