Christmas morning with kids is the best ever!
Of course, Amanda and Adam would wake Jeff and I up at absolutely the crack of dawn. We had to make a rule that it couldn't be earlier than 5:30 a.m. On the other hand, Madeleine is a really late sleeper and although Jean-Luc usually gets up early, on this Christmas morning, neither of them had stirred. Jeff, Adam, Amanda and I were up before the kids.
Finally, everyone rouses and heads for the tree. Laura is a late sleeper also.

But once, the children are headed to the living room, their sleepiness vanishes.

Laura, our busy knitter - she always has something going - got a beautiful rack to hold all her current projects. Madeleine who is learning to crochet and knit got a bag to hold her projects.

Jean-Luc had specifically asked for the Lightning McQueen car when is turned blue and Adam and Laura got that for him.

We did a lot of our shopping while on the road, so several gifts were from our extended stay in LA. Now Madeleine is a true star in Hollywood.

Laura had been missing a toaster for a good while, so fiancee Adam obliged.

Madeleine was a little non-plussed. Where was her big present? Everyone else had opened theirs, and she was left with a small flat package.
