Rose is 3 today! Well, yesterday :)

| Today we celebrated great granddaughter Rose's 3rd birthday at one of the local parks. The weather was beautiful & the kiddos had a great time flying kites as well as swinging, sliding, rock climbing, eating & of course, opening gifts. Well, Rose opened gifts & the rest got gift bags to enjoy & take home. We were also able to visit with grand daughter Serenity & great grandson Caleb, our first visit with them this trip home. Last week son Jim & his wife Paula were here visiting from Alaska & we met granddaughter Nicky's two girls for the first time. In case you are not keeping up, that makes two more great grandchildren! Wow, I'm suddenly feeling my age, lol :) We're having fun with all of these special kids & they certainly keep us laughing & entertained. Serenity is getting married in a couple of weeks so Oregon family will be arriving for the nuptials. It will be great seeing them as well! We'll leave Nevada right after the wedding, destination Arizona for two weeks & then moving on into New Mexico. I'm getting 'hitch itch' now that it's getting closer to time to head out. Those of you that continue to check this journal for travel pics & destination ideas will finally have something to see & read about. Sorry if things have been a bit stale but it's hard to post anything of much significance when sitting in one place. Hoping for some nice scenery & weather too.
