This afternoon I had another CT scan and Myelogram at ARA. Dr. Richardson willingly told me what he had seen and the news was very discouraging. The top screw had not actually come loose but was still exactly where Dr. Geck had installed it. Instead, the right side of the vertebra had collapsed, which left the screw sticking out into space, so to speak. When I see Dr. Geck next Wednesday, I’ll learn what has to be done now. I was so in hopes that there would be no complications.
After these procedures Val picked me up and we went to Olive Garden for take-out soup and salad. The people at ARA had strongly recommended that I not do much but to stay lying down for about twelve hours. They said that take-out was better than eating in the restaurant and run the risk of overdoing my activities.
