Today from Noon - 2:00 p.m. I attended the screening of the new film “Hubble 3D” in the IMAX Theatre. It was FANTASTIC. I had several “outbreaks” of cold chills. :>)
In a panel discussion immediately following the film, scientists from the McDonald Observatory and the University of Texas Department of Astronomy discussed their own research using the Hubble Telescope. One of them was very entertaining.
Because of the 2010 Texas Round Up 10K-5K-Family Mile Race and Fitness Festival that began and ended in front of the Museum, there were some street closures right where I needed to go! It was fun trying to get to the parking garage. I had gone early, though, because I knew it would be tricky. That gave me time to have an early lunch before the showing.
