Eating, beaching and sleeping
Jul 7, 2009
|We woke up late today, the bed is just sooooo comfy.
Before we went to breakfast we managed to book a flight to Florida, our next stop.
We wanted to fly straight to Miami but this proved a bit expensive so we are landing in Orlando instead. Might have to check out some of the theme parks while we're there!
After a good feed up in the Thai place again, we hit the beach... it's like some sort of amazing Groundhog Day!
We hired a 10ft board but the waves were a bit few and far between today. I didn't stand up once, Steve did but it wasn't very exciting. It's a shame I didn't get to try out the shorter board properly... or maybe that's what the problem was....?!
It's our last day tomorrow, I hope the waves are bigger then!
We got ready for dinner early and had a look round the shops, the streets were heaving again, we're really going to miss this place.
We found a different Thai restaurant up the other end of town which looked quite nice, they didn't have a licence so Steve popped down to the local ABC for a bottle of wine. We ordered and while we were eating we were forced to listen to the complete album of Saxophone Classics Volume 1, which included 'How Deep is You Love' and 'Rivers of Babylon'... it was like being stuck in a lift!
The food was great though and as we were wandering back to the room we bumped into Anna and Lisa the Ozzie girls from the other night. They were out on a pub crawl and pretty drunk already, they're actually staying in the same hotel as us now and are going to Miami on Friday – spooky!
We didn't take any photos today, last day tomorrow... sniff.
