We left Banff and headed north on the Ice Fields Parkway. We really didn’t know what to expect but again it was beautiful country. Lots of snow covered mountain tops, glaciers, waterfalls, and wildlife. The clouds were very low which gave us a completely different perspective of the mountains. They were great but unfortunately took a lot of color out of the pictures. We are going to take this same route on the return trip to see the scenery going south. It is a very special place.

Our plan was to stay in Jasper, which didn’t work out, so we ended up in Hinton. Seems like a nice little town that we can explore tomorrow. We plan to settle in here for a few day and relax. The weather is amazing. Daytime temps in the high 70s and nighttime in the high 40s. It’s great to sit around the campfire in the evening.

Two days later ....... The weather changed and now it is cold. We came into town to use the Wifi at the library and have some lunch. Will be leaving in the morning for Grand Prairie. We will be taking Rt. 40 north with is the Alaska/Canada Highway.
