Sunset over "America's Sweetest Town"

I finished working yesterday. We needed to move out of Markham Park and Range as there were no sites available for the weekend. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pistol range before leaving because of limited hours. We headed northwest into the Lake Okeechobee area and will be staying the weekend at the Clewiston/Lake Okeechobee RV Park. I had a tough time finding a place with open sites for the weekend. There must be a ton of snowbirds down here this year escaping the "global warming" covering the northeast.

Clewiston is known as "America's Sweetest Town" because of the dominance of the sugar cane industry in the area. US Sugar Corporation is headquartered in town. The area surrounding the RV park is rangeland. We have cattle as neighbors. We looking forward to relaxing for a couple of days before we move on. If we continue to have a problem finding a place to stay we may wind up staying here for another week or so. Our site is decent and they have a nice pool so it wouldn't be too bad to stick around and see what's in the area. Stay tuned.
