Our trip from Great Falls to Billings, MT was 230 miles of high plains driving through the back roads of central Montana. We left early so that we wouldn't miss too much of the first NFL game of the day. We did arrive and was set up by half-time so didn't miss much.
We are staying at the Billings Village RV Park
which was the Trailer Village RV Park when we were here a four years ago but is still a very nice park and well taken care of. We have a 50 amp full hookup back-in site which Doris directed me into very nicely. Satellite was a quick lock and Verizon is very strong. They also have very good free WiFi during the day when most people are out but it slows considerably in the evening.
Today we did a little touring of Billings and saw Pictograph Cave State Park
first. It was pretty disappointing as very few pictographs are visible due to the dryness of the rocks. We have seen so many really nice pictographs and petroglyphs over the years these looked pretty pitiful. We then went to Coulson Boot Hill
and walked around it a bit. We then made a quick drive by of The Castle
and Moss Mansion
Tomorrow, we leave Montana and head on a long trip to Spearfish, SD where will also spend two nights.
