Today we started out by touring the Box Canyon Falls located just outside downtown Ouray. The Falls are a town park deeded to Ouray many years ago by the widow of a man who tried to make his fortune in the mining business. This little tourist attraction is quite lovely and has steel walkways leading you to much of the overlooks.

Once again we were awed by the scenic views in and around Ouray. From the stagecoach driving down Main Street to the majestic mountains that seem to rise right out from behind the buildings.

To cap off the day we took our 4 wheel drive up some of the mountain roads and hiked around the ruins of some closed mines and ghost towns. More wonderful scenery, a deer and her fawn and a marmot.

Once again, we hope you enjoy the pictures.
