This morning I spoke with Pam at the Strait Music Company in Austin, where I had placed my vintage Fender Precision bass guitar on consignment. She said that my guitar had been sold and that she needed to verify my address to make sure the check would go to the right place. I asked her to send it to me at Lake Texoma. I’m glad to have the extra money for my upcoming trip. I had left the guitar there in December 2007 and was told then that it would be a “slow mover” because it is an expensive one. I had just about given up hope on selling it and had decided that I would pick it up when I returned to Austin.
