View of the Bighorn Mountains from the road

Bighorn mountains in Wyoming

The other side of the road in Wyoming

View from our campsite

The drive from Gillette, WY to Hardin, MT is beautiful. We started seeing the Bighorn Mountains not long after leaving Gillette. To get to Yellowstone National Park from the east you have to cross these mountains. On the other side of the road is rolling hills covered with grassland. We saw herds of pronghorned antelope grazing in the grassland. We also saw a lone long horn steer.

Tomorrow we will tour the Little Bighorn Battlefield.
