Today I had lunch with cousins Van and Helen Smith. We had a nice visit. Their son, Scott, and grandson, Nicholas, came over to help them set up the remotes for their new TV. They are very tech savvy so it didn’t take them long to complete the task. Helen sent me away with an armload of books and magazines, which will keep me busy for quite a while. They have a big yellow cat named Thomas. He wouldn’t cooperate with me for his portrait!! At least Scott and Nicholas did.
Around 2:30 or so I hit the road again, heading to Davis Mountains State Park for a rally with my Lazy Dazers group. I wanted to get as far along the next leg of my journey as I could today because it’s a very long drive to the mountains. I made it as far as Brady before the sun got too low for comfort. I stopped at the Dairy Queen to get a sandwich. I just hooked up to electricity because I have plenty of water in my fresh-water tank.
