My plans for today were foiled by chilly winds. I had planned to go to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to photograph the bluebonnets, but the wind would have prevented me from getting good, sharp shots. So it was on to Plan B.
Probably the most significant thing I did was to defrost my refrigerator before heading out on my errands. There was quite a thick build-up of ice, so it was well past time to take care of it. I had let the food supply dwindle before taking on the task.
Next, I went to the Fast-Fix shop in Barton Creek Square, hoping to get a replacement crystal for my favorite watch. Because of its oval shape, they would have had to order one and then cut it to size – at a cost that was not worth it to me because it would have been more than the original cost of the watch.
The last stop of the day was for groceries. My little freezer is now full to overflowing again. I had to remove the loaf of bread to make room for my frozen berries.
