For our one free weekend since the Christmas show has started at the Gaylord, we kept the kids and decided to take them to the ICE! exhibit at the Gaylord. Jeff and I had gone to see it the first year as an employee perk, but many of the sculptures were covered and the theatrical lighting and music was not going, so this was the first time we got to see the real thing (although we did get an employee discount.) Before we went in, we had our picture taken pretending that we were inside.

It was pretty cool - no, make that COLD. It is kept at 9 degrees, and they provide everyone with a long coat, but it was still quite cold. At the beginning, there was snow

Close to the end, they had carved three ice slides which the kids got to go down several times.
After ICE, we went to the Bass Pro Shops where they had lots of kid friendly activities. Had to get this picture of the shark

They also had a laser target shooting exhibit. Grandpa gave both kids shooting tips

They also had fun operating the remote control trucks

For the rest of the weekend, we made do-it-yourself pizzas and saw "Bolt" which was really funny. It was a wonderful time.
