|As I begin writing this morning, it is only 5:00 AM as we approach Port Said, Egypt.
Both of us slept well last night and feel ready for this really long day.
It will be a 3 and ½ hour ride to Cairo, Egypt, where we will visit the Pyramids, and the Sphinx, before enjoying a luncheon cruise on the Nile. Then we have the 3 and ½ hour ride back to the ship.
The tour busses each have a police escort today but will have to stop for security checks from time to time. I will write about it tomorrow as I expect to be totally exhausted by the time we return.
Tomorrow we will be in Alexandria, Egypt but we are not taking a tour. The tours offered tomorrow are pretty much similar to today so we will just take it easy and relax by the pool.
We will then have two days at sea before reaching Sorrento, Italy.
From that port we will visit Pompeii and Capri.
A tour of Rome on the following day and then we will be on our way back to Hannibal, MO.
We have a few gifts for family and friends but we were not given much time to shop and were directed as to where to shop.
That was a bit disappointing but it is all ok.
After all, we are certain in the knowledge that…..Life is Good!
