This morning Sheryl Corso and I walked over to Zilker Park and then on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail as far as South First Street. There was a nice, cool breeze, which made for a very pleasant walk. By the time we got to South First, we were pretty hungry so we stopped at the Whataburger for lunch.
Later this afternoon we went to Diane Broadway’s voice recital at my church. She has a beautiful mezzo-soprano voice. Her program included Bach, Monteverdi and Brahms classics, as well as two by Charles Gounod. She ended the program with popular songs by Ira and George Gershwin and Frederick Loewe. For an encore, she sang Seth MacFarlane’s “If you only got a moustache”, which was very cute.
