Looking over at Memphis

This one is pretty long

It was a beautiful day to travel today. The temps were in the mid 80's and bright sunshine most of the day. As we neared our destination though, the clouds started rolling in. Just as the weathermen has predicted. Darn guys, they were right again.

The drive started out to be very colorful but the further south we went the greener it was. We enjoyed watching the farmers out harvesting their crops and soon the cornfields changed to cotton fields. It would have been beautiful had it not looked so much like snow. LOL.

We arrived at our campsite on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi river at a park called Tom Sawyer. We are backed up to the river and it has been wonderful sitting out and watching the activity going by. That is until the mosquitoes chased us back inside. Gee, why does everyone think it is only Minnesota that has those pesky bugs?

We just finished eating BLT's for dinner and will lay back and watch a little TV. We both enjoy The Race. Must be because they travel to so many places.

Tomorrow we will put our running shoes on and see the big city. We plan on starting out at Graceland. This time we will go inside instead of just driving by.
