We visited the Sequim Pumpkin Patch today and had a great time. It was a cool farm with acres of pumpkins and lots of family entertainment. People were picking pumpkins out of the field and bringing them back to the store for purchase in pumpkin-colored wheelbarrows.
They had everything from a corn maze to horse rides to a pumpkin shoot where visitors can launch three small, hard pumpkins from a catapult in hopes of getting them in a barrel in the field. If a pumpkin lands in the barrel, the shooter is awarded $100. Jerry wanted to try this one, but they had closed it when we arrived. :-)
The trees in the area were as vivid as the glowing pumpkins. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. We hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. More later from Sequim.
