We have been busy beavers checking out the area. Our first stop of the day was an awesome market in the tiny town on the way to Port Townsend. We wanted to buy a pumpkin to decorate our picnic table. They had such great produce, we ended up buying a lot more. Great produce is one of many things we love about this area of the country.

Next, we visited the city of Port Townsend. Port Townsend is also called the "City of Dreams" because of the early speculation that the city would be the largest harbor on the west coast of the United States. In addition to its natural scenery at the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula, the city is also known for the many Victorian buildings remaining from its late 19th-century.

We had a great lunch with a beautiful view and did a bit of shopping. This is definitely one of our favorite towns in the area. We will visit this one often. More later from Washington.
