We had another great day in Washington exploring several towns. We had planned to visit Mt. Walker, but they had too much snow and ice in the area. The sides of the roads were filled with icicles, it looked like a winter wonderland.
We walked a very nice trail at Dosewallips State Park on the saltwater side and then drove though the other side. Dosewallips State Park is a 425-acre, year-round camping park with 5,500 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal and 5,400 feet of freshwater shoreline on either side of the Dosewallips River. All camp areas are grassy and located in scenic, rustic settings. The trees in the area are all covered with green moss. It is a beautiful park and a great place for camping.
After the state park we stopped at Pleasant Harbor Marina to check out the views and then on to Hoodsport. We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed watching the birds before our drive back home. A lot of the houses in the Hoodsport area are built right on the water with awesome views.
I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
