Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Bonnie, Brad & Trevine came to see us off this morning...So did...

I watched these children enjoying a ride while Larry fueled us up...

Pretty flowers & colors off to my right as we fly on...

Nice formations too!

And welcome to Arizona...

It's a lovely day...

Freeway art for my buddy Joyce...

It was quite nice at the rest area where we enjoyed lunch...

Pretty colors on the nearby rocks...

A bit further...

Caught a tree as we whizzed by!

Tuscon is growing!

Picacho Peak on the other side of the Interstate. Not a bad...

Yesterday we traveled about 350 miles from Deming, NM to Casa Grande, AZ. It was sad to leave our friends behind but time to move on. Can't believe a month went by so quickly! We will definitely camp at Hidden Valley Ranch again in the future. The owners are wonderful as are the 'full-time' residents. Very welcoming to us folks 'on the move'. Which is not always the case. And, the $200 per month rate is fantastic! Certainly helps the budget :)

Our days were full of hiking, riding atv's, visiting museums, rocking and target shooting etc etc etc. And we made three trips into Mexico! Larry got custom made boots for $100 & I got new glasses. Mom went & had her eyes tested & sent me the prescription for a new pair for her as well. I picked out some pretty frames & in two hours they were ready to package & send out. They are currently in the mail, supposed to arrive on Tuesday. Here's hoping Mom loves them & they work out well!

In addition to our outdoor activities this past 4 weeks we shared several meals & happy hours with our friends John & Joyce and Brad & Bonnie, attended several music jams & went to two wineries. Also went to see 'American Sniper' one rainy afternoon, checked out antique stores & thrift shops & visited Silver City and the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Whew, are you tired yet??? LOL

So, I hope to get several post up in the next week as I try & catch up. We're visiting with friends Gary & Lynne here in Casa Grande. Enjoyed dinner out with them last night & just got back from Mesa Market today. We love Mesa Market & always look forward to picking up needed items there. Larry gets a new wallet every couple of years as well as a phone case. I missed the booth with jalapeno cheese curds today darn it! Not sure how that happened. Anyway, we're home for an hour & I'm supposed to be resting before heading to G & L's for dinner. She's making spaghetti & meatballs, one of our favorites! We'll be here until Wednesday morning & then we're heading to Deadhorse State Park in Cottonwood. Did I mention it's warm here? 84 degrees
