This morning I went to the Senior Center in time to use their computer before lunch. I went online to request a free report from Choice Point. When I had returned home this afternoon, I called the insurance company to find out what was going on. They explained that the letter (which was dated 3/3/10) was referring to the time when I had first bought the policy and that the amount shown was the annual amount – not the six-month premium. Phew! All is well once again. I just wish it had stated that it was an annual amount in the first place.
After lunch I took my new paper shredder back to Bed, Bath and Beyond. They tried a different shredder in two of their known good outlets and that one would not work either. I opted for a refund and then went next door to OfficeMax and bought a 10-sheet diamond-cut shredder by Shred Care. I bought a two-year extended warranty for it. It really irks me that so many manufacturers nowadays don’t provide at least a year warranty. I hope this shredder will last a long while. So far, it seems fine.
My old shredder was working fine; it just didn’t cut the pieces small enough. I donated it to Goodwill.
On the way home I stopped at Genie Car Wash to get Sweet Pea cleaned up. When I got home, I put the car cover on her. I wish I had put the cover on before leaving on my little trip!
