Woke early Christmas morning, excited to head over to son Larry's home. It's always so much fun to be around children on Christmas morning. By the time we arrived they were well under way & VERY excited about their gifts from both Santa & Mom and Dad. We exchanged gifts & then sat down to a wonderful breakfast. Tawnia prepared a new breakfast casserole recipe this year & it was delicious. And very easy to make. I believe she got it on Pinterest.

After breakfast the guys 'built' several toys even though Larry 'built' the scooters a couple of days ago so the kids could get on them right away. I remember being so frustrated waiting on my parents to get those darn cable tie thingy's off the toys so I could get them out of the box. Talk about childproof!!! I think they should call it adultproof, lol! When the guys were done we headed out so they could enjoy a few more hours at home before coming to join the rest of the family for Bonnie's wonderful dinner & homemade pies. And to exchange gifts & visit too of course.

We'd planned to help Bonnie with dinner but the turkey was already in the oven by the time we returned. Larry & I did peel & cut up 10 lbs of potatoes. Does that count as help? I also made a cranberry relish dish & made my 'famous' dinner rolls. And, I served a ham dinner with all the trimmings for Christmas Eve, just sayin'....LOL

This year the entire Fiscus family was in the house for the entire day, a first in many years. Ken flew in from Reno & of course Cindy & Bill and granddaughter Ashley & her family were all there. Everyone pitched in with the cooking, serving & cleaning. Wow, that made for a nice, easy day! And a blessed one for sure.

Well, if you are family I'm sure you've enjoyed reading about our day. If you are one of our wonderful readers, we hope you too were able to spend a wonderful day with your family & friends. If you are on the road this weekend, please drive safely & thank you so much for taking a few minutes of your precious time to check in on us. We really appreciate it!
