Cedar Valley RV Park entrance

The golf course where we are parked

The view from our back window

Nice spaces with lots of room and level

This "Big Rig" fit in the space too.

Winds of 40 mph, lake water splashing over the shore and cool. Those were the conditions as we left Cookson Bend. While we were dumping our tanks, we learned the camp host had suffered a stroke on Tuesday. We are praying for his recovery. The water was down a little more. We traveled north on the Muskogee Turnpike and found gas at only $3.41. While there, another Montana fifth wheel pulled in. They are called Saddle Bags Press and you can look at their web page at www.saddlebagspress.com. They have some great photographs. We had a tail wind as far as Broken Arrow, OK, but then we headed west on another turnpike and eventually picked up highway 33 which took us straight into Guthrie, OK. It was a nice "red road" trip.

We are staying at the Cedar Valley RV and Golf resort. Cedar Valley is an area about 6 miles west of Guthrie on highway 33. It is known as the golf capital of the US. I can believe it. There are golf courses everywhere. This RV park is surrounded by golf courses. The view out our back window is of the third tee. This is a very nice Passport America park. Full hookups and all long pull through sites. The park is very clean and well maintained. However, the weather has been terrible. The wind has been so strong, we have pulled in the slides to keep the awnings from tearing and the fifth wheel from rocking so much.

Tomorrow we will attend the Oklahoma City Temple and Friday we will tour the little city of Guthrie.
