And welcome to Brookings! Looking forward to the next few days :)

Still running a few days behind in posting but we have been busy! It was a beautiful drive between Bandon & Brookings on the PCH and the weather was nice most of the way. We stopped to stretch our legs several time & of course to take in the beauty all around us :) We especially love the beaches & area around Port Orford.

I'd hoped to stop & go through the Prehistoric Gardens this trip but our delay in Coos Bay caused us to lose a couple of days so we decided to keep moving as we were anxious to see the kids. Larry did pull in long enough for me to take a couple of pics of the dino's out front. I'm including a link of our last tour inside so if you have grandkids or youngsters you might share a pic or two with them. I loved being in the 'rain forest' setting last time. Larry thought it was a bit 'hokey' but he did admit that he liked it because I liked it so much...What a guy!

Tom and Don were both in town when we arrived, perfect timing! And grandson Thomas was here for a week long visit from Vegas as well. Of course granddaughters Lily & Maya were at the top of our list to see as it's been two years since we were here last. We normally camp at the Driftwood RV Park but this time chose to stay at the Elks Lodge up on the hill. Water & power, dump available when we leave. It's a busy lodge but most of the RV sites are empty this time of year. $18 a night, great rate for this area for sure :)

Well, that's it for now. I'll post again very soon. We plan to visit the redwoods of Stout Grove while here & of course my favorite beach in the USA, Harris Beach. It looks like we are going to get lucky & catch a bit of sun while here, even though rain in predicted, especially at night. I'm praying for sun :)
