|The Guggenheim Museum. Bilbao. 1 1/2 hour drive there and back. Was it worth it? That's art. No lunch as it took so long to wander the museum. But made up for it at dinner - you guessed it tapas. We learnt yesterday that 1.5 million liters of apple cider was produced each year for the whalers and cod fishermen to take with them on their journeys to New Foundland for cod and whale oil in the 16th century. So we had to try the local cider - good enough for them ..... Crazy. Yuk. They didn't get scurvy but I don't know how they drank it...... Or it could be a joke they have with the tourists. Such fun out walking around Hondarribia in the evening. So many people just wandering the plazas by the beach. Everyone out for a walk and some food and wine and cider? and beer and scotch......
