The Whiting's Great Alaskan Adventure travel blog

Danie was the energetic one and went for a run around the area on all these hills. She is training for her first marathon. She wanted to see the VA Museum which had many good artifact's and pictures. The most impressive was a full sized sculpture of 50 soldiers marching...one from each state. The faces were molded from actual photos of each person. Lunch was at El Charros...YUM! Relaxed and organized Mom and Dad's stuff into the RV before our night outing. Went to the Dick Clark Theatre for dinner at a diner there and The Legends Concert. They had look alikes and singers for Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson, and Elvis! All did a great job but Michael was a perfect look alike right down to all the moves. The rest all did great as well as singers and actors. Harry was diappointed we didn't get pictures with the Blues Brothers but we will work on some to submit. Water is also hooked back up to the RV after we had water from a broken line in the park trickling down the hill yesterday. It was puddling under our site. We had to move sites (NOT) or fill our tank so they could shut it off for 24 hours. All is fixed now. Just have to drain 30 gallons back out now to minimized RV weight on Saturday when we go back up the steep hill out of here.
