Scenery on the trip

Whoops! No bottom! Over we go!

Typical of the large rivers in Canada that are way too full.

Large Canyon

Road Rage

We traveled all of 180 miles today. Scenery was similar to what you might expect in Northern Wisconsin, except the hills are much larger, and longer.

Got gas on the way and saw a liquor store attached, and decided to check it out. Those that know me, also know that vodka is "my drink of choice". I checked out their vodka prices and found that they sell in 1.14L bottles instead of our normal 1.75L bottles. Their Smirnoff's in 1.14L was $39.75 Canadian(plus 3% for US)..............in the good old USA, we pay roughly $22-24 for a 1.75L of the same.I'm certain there are not many alcoholics in Canada. This may be good for me. :>)

We are staying at the "Camp Tamarack RV Park" in Grande Prairie, AB tonight. Tomorrow we will travel about 80 miles to Dawson Creek and Mile "0" of the Alcan Highway and the real start of our Alaskan Adventure.

We have heard from good friends Rod & Joanne Schueller, that they are on their way and should hit Dawson Creek, tomorrow or Friday. We are anxious to see them.

My wife has been a real trooper and is doing very well and is reminding me of things we have to do to complete our setup and and departure. Of course, I have to remind her of nothing!

The camper we have is a sweetheart. Takes very little to setup and or depart. It is serving us well at this point. Anxious to get going on the Caravan part of the trip, now that we have traveled a long ways just to get to this point. Tomorrow the "Adventure" starts!! We are on the Cusp!!
