Sometimes there really is a free lunch. Today my group went to Chili’s for lunch. This time there were only four of us instead of the usual 8-12, which should have made things easier for the wait staff. We were seated immediately because the lunch crowd was smaller than usual. However, after we had waited for more than 30 minutes and the waitress still hadn’t even brought us our water, we decided it was time to act. Jolene spoke with the manager and he assigned a different waitress to our table -- and gave us our meals free. He and the new waitress apologized several times.
