Trip to Kelowna - Phil & Tracey's new home - Sep 19, 2007

Went up to Kelowna today to visit Phil and Tracey. Also Jason has moved to Kelowna with them now. The drive from Oliver to Kelowna is okay for the first 90 minutes (until the Westbank area) and then slow with traffic and lights for the next 40 minutes. Takes at least 2 hours. Kelowna is getting BIG.

Their house is up on the Quail Ridge hill, overlooking one of the championship golf courses and the Kelowna airport. Lovely house with a gorgeous view. Had a light lunch (Phil's idea of a light lunch is steak and caesar salad with dessert! Way-to-go Phil!). After lunch, we went for a walk through the neighborhood, and got some good ideas on how to landscape the hillside in Oliver. Took lots of pictures for reference.

The trip back was much like the outbound trip, spending almost an hour getting to Westbank and then a good trip back to Oliver after that.
