Busselton Jetty

The train from Adelaide to Perth took 38 hours and covered a distance of 2500km. It was a NIGHTMARE!!!!! We spent two nights trying to sleep in a chair with people ( a couple of stinky old drunks!)around us coughing and spluttering. We survived the journey though...what an unforgettable 'experience'!

Perth had a different feeling to the other Australian cities we had visited, more of a rural city, more young people and more rowdy bars/pubs than we had seen before. We didn't spend long there, however as we were catching the bus to Busselton the next day to see Steve's cousin.

Karen, Ian and Charlotte made us feel very welcome and showed us the sights, which included a 1.8km long jetty with an underwater observatory at the end.

We spent a fantastic week in Busselton, enjoying the Sheppard hospitality and home comforts again! Next entry to follow shortly about our adventures in Busselton.
