Great progress today after finally getting away, a 10 lock total bringing us to the lovely town of Amsterday, New York. We docked a the Riverside Centre, free of charge including hydro and water. We walked into town, which was very strange with many empty buildings and few stores or restaurants. We finally found a poorly stocked variety store where we picked up a few things and a funny little Chinese take out where we picked up dinner. We spent the evening looking over our charts, books and atlas. Every night when we stop I pull out the atlas and look at where we are and how much progress we are making.
It was a long day and we were exhausted so we crawled into bed early with our books.
