This morning we found two Elk outside the door of the trailer. One we nickname radio Elk because of his bright red collar with an antenna. Left around 9:00 and headed west on highway 16 to Prince George. It's an easy drive of 230km. We gradually left the mountains for forested area. Timbering seem to be big business.
Saw some more Elk along the way in addition to deer. The signs along the highway kept warning of bear and moose but we found none.
We arrived about 3:00 pm PDT in Prince George and Checked into Snitich Trailer & RV Park. Lots of folks here also headed to Alaska. Gary & Sue are from Colorado and are parked behind us with a black pickup camper. They are going to Prince Rupert to catch the ferry. That was much too expensive for us because of our length. They price by the foot.
