The Kweller Cousins

September 27, 2019

I stand corrected that the grocery store is not Raley’s but Rigley Family Market. Were pleased to learn we could buy frozen chicken feet in bulk! That said, avocados were only $.88. We picked up some salads for dinner, fruit for breakfast and sandwich for lunch. For dinner we are having the 2015 reserve Mer Soleil chardonnay.

Hotel is very comfortable with big rooms, balcony with chairs, Starbucks coffee etc. for a reasonable price.

At 8:30 we are on the road for a 400-mile ride to Heber City. The trip across NV is truly boring! We stopped in Wendover to have lunch which we had purchased at Ridley’s the night before. That is where I more than likely lost my old friend of 5 years, Fitbit One. To replace it for $279 is silly. It must mean that I will inherit Bob’s Apple Watch 3 as he moves on to the 4 or 5. Life is too short but I sure loved my everyday pal! Very odd is that time changed to MCT and none of our devices changed for most of the day. Had to turn on/off for the change.

We arrived at Jordanelle State Park about 4:30 to a full camp. Glad we had a reservation. On the last part of the day the infamous DEF light came on!! For those of you who have followed us for years, you know the problems we had with the DEF sensor and trips to Sprinter repairs few and far between in this country. Hopefully, topping up the fluid will do the trick. Well, that was not as simple as twisting off the cap. Out comes the manual to find that there is a tool in the tool box in front of the passenger seat that allows the cap to turn!

Off to the Kweller cousins who are literally a mile away. Had a glass of wine and decided we would return to Jordanelle to back the rig up the hill in the light! Drove into Park City which is a ski resort maze! Had a lovely dinner at the Farmhouse where most everything is house made including the butter! We all (except Eileen) opted for the burgers and fries although there were many other interesting items on the menu. Had a $15 glass (3 ounce pour) of Chalk Hill chardonnay.

Eileen asked Bob to drive home as it had started to rain. Home by 9:00 and ready for bed. We realized that we had not been given a map (to find the bathrooms) or WiFi code. Oh well, tomorrow is another long day, 450-mile drive to Denver.
