Camping at the fairgrounds in Toledo ended up being a great stop. Both the electricity and water connections were strong and we never did find anyone to pay. There were people around preparing scary Halloween facilities. The House of Horrors, Seven Ways to Hell and House of Blood were all open for business last night but there were few takers. The weekend flea market was well attended as we pulled out this morning. The only noise we heard was the cheery sounds of a football game at the college nearby, whistles blowing, the band playing and lots of cheering.
A morning drive brought us to Elkhart in time for Ken to watch all but the first quarter of the Bears game. We hoped to camp near the facility where the washing machine is scheduled for repair tomorrow, but the campground gate was locked. So we are boondocked between some industrial looking buildings watching the drizzle drip down the windshield. And waiting to drive those last 100 miles.
