Old town Vence

Taking in the view from one of our Villa's terraces

Dinner in Antibes on the beach, at Cap Riviera Restaurant

Today we awoke to a torrential downpour. Our original plans of going to check out the market were delayed. We ate breakfast in the kitchen of the villa from items we purchased during our journey to the supermarket earlier. We made toast with smoked salmon, yogurt, fresh fruit, and green tea. Breakfast was delicious!

After breakfast we planned to go into town to checkout the butcher, fish guy and market Lars the owner of our Villa had pointed out. Well by time we left home base, it was 2p. We discovered on Sundays in Vence most places are closed. We were determined to find food though as it was past lunch time! We wondered around for 30 mins and found our way into old town Vence. We ate at quaint brassiere for lunch then went wandering through old town. We discovered so many shops and a chapel

We then took a break from exploring, headed back to home base to take in view from our terrace

and determine our next move for dinner.

We determined we should check out Antibes which is a nearby city near Vence. Antibes is right on the water, literally on the beach. We found a nice small restaurant "Cap Riviera"

Of course the party didn't stop there we went exploring in Antibes! Attempted to hit up a casino, unfortunately they required a passport for admission which we did have with us. The next best option was a nearby sports bar we found after wandering through the streets of Antibes which is where we meet Robert Lee. Lol! Now Le Crystal was were the party really started!!!

Robert Lee is a lovely gentleman we met from England who was feeling extremely generous this fine evening. Bottle service of champagne was flowing and continued after we left at 1:30am! Will of course has those pictures I was too busy sipping the champagne, and dancing! Nikki finally arrives tomorrow after noon. As I'm writing this it is 3:28am and we have another early start at 8am. So I will bid you goodbye until tomorrow's entry!
