Today I had lunch with Val White at Güero's Taco Bar. That’s the first time I had eaten there. It is always crowded. Luckily, Val and I arrived a little before the main crowd and were seated quickly. The food and service were good. Güero's has been a popular South Austin taqueria since 1986 when owners Rob and Cathy Lippincott opened a modest restaurant on East Oltorf Street. In the fall of 1994 they purchased the 100-year-old Central Feed and Seed building on South Congress (SoCo), where it now operates.
