2012-2013 (Passion for the Road) travel blog

October 23/12

We left Barrie saying bye to Mike’s mom, packing up in the rain. It was a very rainy day hitting pockets on the drive down to Michigan. The border crossing was a breeze, but getting close to the border was not fun. The lane was marked cars and RV’s in this lane to travel over the bridge, but as we got closer to the border gates, there was a truck lane, car one lane and No RVs on all the signs. Both Mike and I were freaking out thinking they closed the border for RV’ers. We proceeded to the gate and apologized profusely. The guard joked with us and he didn’t realize what the signs said. We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites next to the border crossing.
