It was an uneventful, easy ride of 108 miles from Macon down to Albany, GA. We left a little earlier than we had wanted due to a storm system coming in and we managed to miss it except for a couple of sprinkles. We are staying at the Marine Corp Logistics Base FamCamp just East of Albany. They have installed eight new 50 amp, full hookup, pull-through sites in the middle of the loop that is mainly used by transients like us. On the outside of the loop they have 12 more back-in sites that are used for long term stays. The eight transient sites (1-8) are spacious and very long so there is no trouble pulling in with a big rig pulling a toad. Though pretty shaded by large oaks and pines, the satellite was an easy find from site 4 and there is a strong Verizon signal as well as good WiFi. They have done a nice job with the campground since it only had five spaces six years ago when we purchased our first Mothership.
We didn't do anything while here but visit friends and family. I was stationed here at the old Naval Air Station in the late 60s, early 70s and Doris' family moved here in the early 60s. One of her sisters is the only family left in Albany. We usually visit at least once a year so we are pretty familiar with the area.
Next stop - HOME. I will post our normal final expense summary as soon as I get it figured out!
