We just love our new MCD shades

Wed, 18 Jan: We rolled wheels today—finally! We left our space at Val Vista RV Resort after saying goodbye to our neighbors. Bill & Judy have been great fun and we loved being with them. Likewise Ken & Joan (another Ken & Joan) from BC had us in stitches. We sure hope to again cross paths with them along life's highways.

We hit the road about 0845 and had an uneventful drive to Lake Havasu City. We took I-8, US 85, I-10, AZ 72, to AZ 95. We broke for lunch and driver change at an I-10 rest stop. Carpe ran beautifully despite being idle since early October.

We arrived in the Lake Havasu City area a bit after 1400 and pulled into "The Steps", a state owned area with many boondocking sites. We left Carpe and drove Dinkum into town to get the "lay of the land". We found 3T's RV Service and learned where we'll be staying for the nite. Then back to "The Steps" where we drove both vehicles into the city and 3T's.

We spent the nite at 3T's customer parking with 50 ampere electric. Once settled in we drove to the Black Bear Diner for Sandi's chicken fried steak "fix". Then back to the coach where we got her ready for tomorrow's service.

We've become increasingly dissatisfied with the factory installed pleated shades. We finally decided to give ourselves a Xmas/Hanukah/New Year's/Birthday present and upgrade to MCD shades. We ordered them in December and had them delivered directly to 3T's. Now for the installation!

To bed about 2200...
