We left the house just after 7am Tuesday morning. The drive was an easy one except for a little traffic at the 60 / 91 / 10 intersections with the 15. We arrived here just after 1 pm and went to check into the RV Park to find out we arrived a day early. There were lots of open spots so we parked and looked at the itinerary. Surely we could not have left a day early ... well we did and good too … as the next day wind warnings would cover the deserts of California and Nevada. We also decided since the heat was in the high 90’s we will leave here a day early and stay an extra day in Cedar City UT.
Wednesday the winds were blowing here 20 to 30 mph and gusting up to 40mph so we just took a tour of the base. The first stop was the Air Force Thunderbirds flight demonstration team museum. It was small and had some pictures, flight gear, and history of the team. I must say I was a little disappointed in that there were no aircraft on display. Next, we made a stop by the golf course that I will visit the next day. Finely we made a stop by the Base Exchange to pick up a few things and back to the rig for the afternoon.
Thursday I got up early to get out to the golf course. It was not to busy so I was right out on the course. I had lots of fun and was back at the rig before noon. Just after 3 we took off to a local North Las Vegas Casino to eat and spend a little time playing the machines. We made it an early evening as we will be departing in the morning for Cedar City.I have posted more pictures on the web.
