Oregon's Northwest Coast trip - Sepember 2009 travel blog

Drive to Wenatchee took a bit longer than expected, since the main highway 97 had been closed. We were forced to take Alt 97 which goes through the town of Chelan and then down the west side of the river to Wenatchee. We later found out that a semi had an accident and had damaged the Beebe bridge, so all traffic was being detoured until they had the bridge repaired.

Our plan to stay at Lincoln Rock State Park was modified since Lincoln Rock (on the east side of the river) was now 20 miles out of the way and we were driving right past Wenatchee Confluence SP. They had room, so we stayed there instead.
