After a great buffet breakfast at the hotel, we met our driver and headed to Manhattan where we picked up our guide for the our tour, Eddy. Eddy was from upstate, New York, so he didn't sound like Sylvester Stallone, but he knew the city, having been a tour guide for many years. We toured all over Manhattan and saw many, many famous sites such as the Dakota (where John Lennon lived and died), Central Park, Wall Street, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Time Square, and Ground Zero where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Of course, there wasn't time for very many stops...you'd need a couple of days to stop everywhere, but we got a great "taste" of New York. Next, it was off to the Brooklyn Pier where we boarded the Carribean Princess. Everyone explored the ship, attended their life boat drills, then met for dinner in our dining room, The Palm. After dinner, several headed to the Princess Theatre for the night's show, while others went other directions, some to the casino, and some to bed (after an exhausting day!).
