Sunday lunch in Julies garden

popping the champagne to celebrate setting off

Summer has finally arrived to say good bye to us but at least it has allowed us to get the garden sorted.

Thanks to everyone who has wished us well on our expedition and offered to look after the house and garden whilst we are away. We have left the house spick and span and done our best in the garden so I hope there is not too much to do and it is not a wilderness when we get back. It was looking good and all the mesembryanthamums looked as though they were smiling in the sun and wishing us bon voyage. I hope the weather holds and you get more of the summer.

We are now in Manchester and just had a celebration Sunday lunch with Julie in her garden before she acts as taxi driver to the airport.

Au revoir and we will add more after arriving in New Zealand.
