Go West Old Man - Fall 2005 travel blog

We could have come home tonight, but since we can only have the trailer in the driveway 24 hours in our regulated and controlled active adult community, it seems to make more sense to stay nearby and swoop home in the morning. This thinking found as at a campground in Springfield which we have stayed at before for the same reason. This is the end of the camping season in this part of the world, so we were surprised to be in a long check-in line. We arrived here the same time as the Twirlers - an especially rotund looking group of geezers from the northern Illinois area that have gathered here to square dance. The campground has a nice clubhouse and the floors will be shaking tomorrow night. Too bad we have to leave....
