For the last several days contractors have been working at CARE. Today Great Lake Circle, the street around my section, is having blacktop applied and smoothed. It was in pretty good condition, so not much work had to be done on it – just scraped off. Tomorrow and Friday the gravel street in front of the CARE building will be completely re-done, with blacktop and some speed humps. That will be especially nice because the blacktop will prevent dust and the humps will slow down the traffic. We’ve seen vehicles going at 30-40 miles per hour in spite of the 10-mph posted limit.
Other contractors are installing updated electrical service so that more sections of the park can be connected to a large generator. My row is already connected to one so, if power is lost, the generator will start after a few seconds.
