The final push toward home almost took us back to winter. The branches of the trees are bare and the forsythia, tulips, and daffodils are blooming. It was great to be welcomed back home with a hug from our neighbor who also loves to RV. He almost seemed disappointed when we didn't have a road ding story to tell him. It seems like he's always hitting a gas pump or having fluid leaks. When it comes to driving days, uneventful is best.
After a few months in the motor home, our house always seems so big. I had to walk and walk and walk just to prepare dinner. But having all that counter space was a treat. Taking a shower with sufficient water pressure was also a pleasure. But after a while these small creature comforts won't make up for the excitement of new scenery and experiences.
