Our traveling adventures travel blog

Hi, y'all!!! We are anxiously anticipating our departure Tuesday, November 2. BUT not before we vote. Everyone, please remember how important it is to have a voice in our country's future.

It's easy to get back in the saddle. Traveling with the 5th wheel seems quite natural. Each of us has our preassigned duties-basically divisible by inside/outside. As with most full time RV'ers a team effort makes the operation smooth as glass. Basically, it consist of inside vs outside chores. Some of the best things about traveling are the way we eat, our clothing options, and our relaxing lifestyle.

Corky has been glued to the truck laptop previewing routes. Each of us makes suggestions-"oh, let's go here or there". It goes without saying no plans are ever laid in stone. The general rule of thumb is by the seat of our pants! The current plans include Nashville, Tn., Branson, Mo., Guadalupe Mtns, Tx., Carlsbad Caverns, NM, etc. Reuniting with RV'er friends in Arizona will be loads of fun. Thanks to the US military we'll be visiting Corky's daughter and family located on the California coast.

We have a 38' Big Horn 5th wheel coach by Heartland. The big rig manufacturers hold rallies periodically solely for the benefit of the customer. Our first will be this summer. There will be alot to report from this event. There's alot of us retired folks out there enjoying the RV life so customer service is #1 with the manufacturers.

Baby Jacob made his first road trip with ease. Both girls(adults), men, and grands had a great time eating pizza and playing with Jacob. He is so entertaining and lively, as he should be. Thank goodness for Skype. It is the best way to visit long distance in real time!

Saturday PM I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend's birthday at Olive Garden(a favorite). It was especially delightful to see Rachel's mom again fresh off the plane from Wales. She is witty, bubbly, and charming-all in one! I fancy a trip to Wales in the making(thanks for the invite)! New to the menu was a California red wine,Seven Daughters-I'll give it a thumbs up! After the sampling, nothing would do but to order the bottle.

Corky is at Scott's taking in a final boat racing fix today. We are looking forward to posting our travels/photos again. It is fun for us to read your messages and watch the counter change registering your visit to the journal. Here's hoping you will enjoy the new entries, also!
