I arrived in Busan, Korea on the southeast coast after 28 hours of continuous travel in in a mental haze. After leaving the GJ airport at 0620 on the morning of June 8, I arrived in Busan at 11PM on June the 9th. I was able to sleep may a hour or two in total. Needless to say I was really tired and very glad when I Nelson met me at the train station to know that sleep would come shortly. The following day after sleeping in we went for a walk around where he lives. I was surprised to learn that Busan had a population of over 3.5 million.
Busan is on the coast and I can see the ocean from right outside his front door. We walked down to a nice view point to have lunch, Korean BBQ, which was quite good. You cook your own food over coals in the center of your table. I also tried some Kimchi a traditional Korean fermented dish made of vegetables with varied seasonings with the main ingredient of cabbage.
We toured around Busan and went downtown that night to have dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant with Kyoung-Hee, Nelson's wife.
The weather has been good thus far with mostly clear skis with a splash of humidity but very tolerable. At night, I have slept comfortably with just a fan on low.
